Decentralized Commerce Infrastructure for a Trillion-Dollar Agent Economy
By 2030, AI agents will run the internet. Agentic commerce will reach $1.7 trillion*. Boson Decentralized Agentic Commerce Protocol (dACP) enables the verifiably fair, commercial exchange of any asset between any agent, human or AI.
Introducing Boson dACP: MCP for Commerce
As AI agents become the dominant economic actors, they need a complete stack of infrastructure. We already have MCP for context and A2A for communication.
Boson dACP is the decentralized commerce layer of the agent stack—think “MCP for Commerce.” Just as MCP enables agents to connect to tools and data, dACP enables agents to exchange any asset with verifiable fairness.

dACP – MCP for Commerce
Boson dACP Stack
The Boson dACP stack extends core smart contract architectures with modular components that enable autonomous agents to interact with commercial infrastructure directly and securely. The stack preserves foundational trust-minimized smart contracts while adding structured components for seamless integration with both human-facing dApps and agentic frameworks.

dACP – MCP for Commerce
Built on Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism, dACP’s three-layer architecture provides comprehensive infrastructure for trust-minimized commerce:
Asset Exchange Layer: The Commerce Black Box
At its core, dACP functions as a logical black box—payments go in, assets come out (or refunds are issued). This layer utilizes smart contracts to abstract away the complexity of escrow, settlement, and dispute resolution while ensuring cryptographic guarantees that no party can obtain both the asset and payment outside agreed terms.
Translation Layer: Bridging Blockchain and AI
The translation layer bridges the deterministic logic of the Asset Exchange Layer’s smart contracts with the probabilistic reasoning of autonomous agents. Through MCP server integration, we enable compatibility with 90%+ of agent frameworks—ElizaOS, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, ZerePy, and more.
Interface Layer: Universal Access
Provides unified access for humans and agents through TypeScript SDKs, embeddable widgets, dApps, and direct protocol access. Creates consistent experience across platforms for both autonomous systems and human users.
This architecture delivers on our core value proposition: trade any asset between any agent, anywhere—with minimally extractive foundational infrastructure.
Dual-Module Architecture: From $10 to $1M+ Transactions
What makes dACP unique is our dual-module approach that optimizes for different transaction types while maintaining a unified protocol:
E-commerce Module (Efficiency Optimized)
Designed for everyday commerce, the E-commerce Module locks up funds in smart contracts for a defined term, using an efficient optimistic assumption of transaction success unless explicitly disputed. This design prioritizes transaction cost efficiency and minimal friction for high-volume, lower-value transactions where speed and cost are paramount.
Key Features:
- Uses rNFTs (redeemable NFTs based on ERC-721) to represent tokenized commitments that are either redeemed for the associated offchain asset or refunded in the case of non-fulfillment
- Prioritizes low-friction, cost-efficient exchange for common physical items, digital goods, or services
- Operates under an optimistic assumption model to maximize speed and minimize fees
- Each trade results in an offer-specific rNFT minted via dedicated collection contracts
State Machine Phases:
- Offer Creation – Seller creates offer with terms, pricing, and dispute resolution details
- Commit – Buyer commits funds to protocol and receives redeemable NFT (rNFT)
- Redemption – rNFT holder chooses to redeem offer, triggering fulfillment period
- Dispute Period – Following redemption, buyer has time to inspect and potentially dispute; protocol optimistically assumes success after period expires.
- Dispute Resolution – Optional phase if buyer disputes; includes mutual resolution and escalation
- Finalization – Exchange concludes with funds distributed per outcome

High-Value Module (Security Optimized)
Tailored for high-value real-world asset commerce, the High-Value Module locks up assets through trusted verifiers and custodians, enhancing security to facilitate immediate seller payments for improved capital efficiency, and enabling secure fractionalization of custodied assets.
Key Features:
- Uses FNFTs (fractional NFTs based on ERC-721 and ERC-20) to represent full or fractionalized ownership of assets held in verified custody
- When the asset is in custody, the FNFT can be actively traded on secondary marketplaces, either as whole ERC-721 token or native ERC-20 fractions
- Employs trusted verifiers and custodians to confirm provenance and condition of RWAs
- Enables immediate seller payouts and secure transfer of ownership through programmable commitments
- FNFTs are minted via minimal proxy collections optimized for RWA-specific metadata and use cases
State Machine Phases:
- Offer listing and price discovery – before the item is verified, the asset can offered with the guarantees of E-commerce module
- Asset Verification – Initial authentication and evaluation by trusted verifiers
- Custody Transfer – Secure transfer of physical asset to approved custodians
- Redemption – Physical asset claim and custody transfer to FNFT holders
Fractionalization Benefits:
- Democratized Access – Investors gain exposure to previously inaccessible asset classes
- Enhanced Liquidity – Previously illiquid assets become tradeable in smaller denominations
- Capital Efficiency – Enables partial ownership without full asset acquisition costs
- Risk Distribution – Allows portfolio diversification across multiple high-value assets

High-value Module Summary Mechanism

Both modules provide the same fundamental guarantee: you either receive your asset or get your money back—no exceptions.
Universal Framework Integration: Write Once, Deploy Everywhere
Our integration strategy makes dACP essential infrastructure that’s easier to use than rebuild:
Plugin Strategy: We’re building native plugins for all major agent frameworks, giving any developer building agents instant commerce capabilities.
“Write Once, Deploy Everywhere”: Instead of building complete plugins for each framework, we maintain a single MCP server that frameworks adapt with minimal wrapper code.
Broader Ecosystem Focus: Light developer integration requirements mean rapid adoption across the entire agent ecosystem, not just individual frameworks.
The result: any agent framework can gain sophisticated commerce capabilities with minimal integration effort.
Decentralized Infrastructure for the Agentic Economy
dACP delivers on the promise of truly decentralized infrastructure:
Can’t Be Evil Architecture: Our decentralized architecture prevents platform abuse through community governance. There’s no single entity that can unilaterally change rules, increase fees, or discriminate against users.
Hard Tokenization: We don’t just tokenize assets—we tokenize commitments to trade with cryptographic guarantees that transactions execute as agreed or not at all.
Comprehensive Solution: Unlike specialized solutions, dACP handles any asset type through dual modules while serving both human and AI agents.
Minimally Extractive: We charge only what’s necessary for security and maintenance (typically 0.5%), enabling more value to flow to actual participants rather than platform intermediaries.
Community Governance: Built as public infrastructure owned and governed by users through transparent, on-chain governance mechanisms.
Real-World Applications Across Every Commerce Category
dACP enables a wide spectrum of commerce applications:
Everyday E-Commerce: Humans and agents transact everyday goods without marketplace dependency. Cryptographic guarantees ensure delivery or refund without counterparty risk.
High-Value Asset Trading: Luxury items, rare collectibles, and RWAs traded securely with enhanced verification and custody. Fractionalization democratizes access to previously exclusive asset classes.
Autonomous Agent Commerce: Enterprise agents autonomously source, negotiate, and purchase supplies. Cross-market arbitrage agents identify and execute pricing inefficiencies automatically. IoT devices autonomously exchange resources like energy credits.
Direct Gig Economy Networks: Smart contracts automate task contracting and payments. Freelancers retain more value as traditional platform fees are eliminated.
Enterprise Integration: Companies can integrate both Channel Mode (pure transaction layer) and Marketplace Mode (full discovery experience) depending on their needs.
The Vision: TCP/IP for Commerce
Just as TCP/IP became the foundational protocol for internet communication, dACP serves as foundational infrastructure for commerce. We’re building the infrastructure that will enable the agentic economy to reach its full potential.
